Two men arrested on suspicion of monkey dust offences
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of monkey dust-related offences following a stop-and-search in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Officers were on patrol in the Dimsdale Parade area in the early hours of Wednesday (12 August) when they spotted a vehicle being driven suspiciously.
The vehicle then travelled to a car park at Wolstanton Retail Park and officers carried out a search.
More than 20 snap bags of suspected class B drugs, monkey dust, were recovered along with a set of scales.
A 23-year-old man, from Clwyd in North Wales, and a 38-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, were each arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs.
They have been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
