Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after another man was found with a serious injury to his head.

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after another man was found with a serious injury to his head.

The victim, in his 30s, was discovered on Hillcrest Street in Hanley, after police were called, on Sunday afternoon, to carry out a welfare check on Bucknall New Road. He was taken to hospital where he remained in a serious but stable condition.

Police then went to a home on Wellington Street after reports that the attack had taken place there and two men in their 50’s were arrested.
