Whitchurch hosts first tattoo festival

Whitchurch is hosting its first-ever tattoo convention bringing dozens of artists, live music and local traders to the town.

The event is being organised by Lucky Turtle Tattoos and Iron Valley Tattoos is taking place at Whitchurch Market Hall this weekend.

More than 40 tattoo artists from across the UK are expected to attend, offering walk-in appointments.

Lucky Turtle Tattoos owner Lee Nicolls said the event was designed not only to showcase tattoo artistry but also to highlight everything Whitchurch has to offer.

Lucky Turtle Tattoos has built a strong reputation in recent years, winning multiple awards and becoming well known locally for community initiatives including Mental Health Mondays and fundraising work for causes such as Whitchurch Food Bank.

Mr Nicolls was recognised for his contribution to the community when he was named Whitchurch Citizen of the Year in 2025.
