Blue Sky Radio is an exciting new commercial radio Station for Staffordshire and Cheshire bringing you the very best music that is instantly familiar and gives your day an extra lift too.
We are passionate about our local area and heritage, which is why our presenters are handpicked for their local knowledge and experience – or as we like to call them…. legends!
We aim to be the number one station in the area. Putting the ‘local’ back in to ‘local radio’ and plugging the gaps as other stations lose their identity through network programming.
Our brand is built on years of industry experience and a passion to offer a truly local station playing the best music of the last 40 years. We are based in Stoke-on-Trent and have studios across our area including in Stoke-on-Trent. Crewe, The Staffordshire Moorlands and Cheshire.
Wherever you are listening at home, at work or in the car – you can guarantee it will be ‘Blue Sky all the way’.
We are a commercial radio station, but we have a big heart! We want to connect with our communities and support local causes, helping them to raise their profile through the power of radio. That’s why we will be visible in our local area, whether it’s supporting a charity fundraiser or attending a Christmas Light Switch on – because that’s the Blue Sky way!

How to listen:
We are broadcasting on DAB+
We are currently on 4 transmitter sites, one directed at Stoke-on-Trent, one at Newcastle-under-Lyme, one in Crewe – covering the Crewe and Nantwich area and one in the Staffordshire Moorlands covering Leek, Congleton and much of East Cheshire.
The Stoke and Newcastle Transmitters are on Block 8A, the Moorlands transmitter is on Block 9A and the Crewe Transmitter is on Block 7D.
We broadcast at 64Kbs in DAB+ so your radio will need to be DAB+ compatible – if it has the ‘digital tick mark’ you will be able to listen to us – however you may need to re-scan your radio the first time.
You can get us on your ALEXA device by asking her to “Play Blue Sky Radio” – however the very first time you may need to ask ALEXA to “enable the Blue Sky Radio Skill”
We are also available by our player on this website and via our Blue Sky Radio phone app for both iPhone and Android mobile phones.
