Breathe Easy, North Staffs is the local support group affiliated to the Asthma and Lung, UK charity.

It is for anyone living with a lung condition such as Asthma, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease – for instance Emphysema or Chronic Bronchitis), etc but also for their family and carers.

It’s run by volunteers and aims to provide friendly mutual support together with lung health information.

Meetings are held monthly to listen to speakers, find out more about lung health and to get to know each other over a cup of tea and biscuits. Our group also has days out – eg a local trip to Trentham Gardens, a day trip to the coast and always a Christmas Lunch.

There is usually a Respiratory nurse on hand at each meeting who is able to answer questions that may arise. There is the opportunity for a private chat with them too.
