Firefighters have helped to rescue two drivers who were stuck in flood water in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
Just after 9.45am this morning , crews from Burslem and Hanley were dispatched to Blackbank Road, Knutton. Two vehicles had become stuck in flood water which was about three feet deep.
Police closed the road whilst Fire and Rescue teams helped the drivers out of their vehicles. They were not injured.
Crews left the scene just before 11am and the incident has been left with Highways.
A road closure is in place and drivers are urged to seek alternate routes and to not try and pass through the flooded water.
