Why/how did you become involved in radio?

I was invited by Bruno Brookes to be a guest on his first radio show on Radio Stoke and got the bug then!

I have worked in some of the best nightclubs in the area such as the Cheshire Cat in Nantwich and the Place in Hanley.  I was proud to be part of the opening line up for Stoke on Trent’s first commercial station back in 1983!

What is your most memorable radio moment so far?

Getting the Breakfast show on Piccadilly radio in Manchester (where I was born) and we both had the same birthday.

What is the song that ‘lifts your day?’

That’s a hard one, so many to choose from but picking the first one that pops into my head let’s go for Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson with Bruno Mars, I never get tired of it and I’ve never seen an empty dance floor when it’s on at a club.

How are you feeling about joining the Blue Sky team?

Getting back together with some of the nicest guys (and girls) in radio who are all as excited as me looking forward to bringing back something that’s been missing on the radio for years.

What is it you like about our local area (North Staffs and South Cheshire)?

The people, the community, the county side and the fabulous climate. Well, some of the time. 😉

Is there a fun fact about you we could add?

That’s a tough one, but apparently I do have very bad taste in shirts.
