Why/how did you become involved in radio?

As a teen I spent hours listening to the likes of Lee Finan and Phil Trow under my pillow. I progressed to logging records for the northern soul show on my local station and then was invited to join the promotions team or ‘girls in knickers with stickers’ as one presenter called us! These days I am much more at home behind the microphone!

What is your most memorable radio moment so far?

Jason Hardy and I once invited a man upon stage because he looked like ‘Eddie the Eagle Edwards’ only to find out it was actually the Olympic skier himself!

What is the song that ‘lifts your day?’

Oooh that is difficult… Olivia Newton John ‘Xanadu’, or anything by The Beautiful South

How are you feeling about joining the Blue Sky team?

I am looking forward to being part of a fabulous team and bringing the good times back to North Staffordshire and South Cheshire.

What is it you like about our local area (North Staffs and South Cheshire)?

The people – they are the best! Also, where else is there a fabulous industrial heritage only a few miles from the most glorious countryside

Fun fact!

Once evicted the Spice Girls from a local radio reception for smashing up the soft drinks machine!
